KEA releases a provisional answer key shortly after the exam, opens a window for candidates to raise objections against specific questions, then publishes a final answer key used to compute results.

How the process works

  1. Provisional key released: published on the official PGCET portal along with response sheets. In 2026, the provisional key was released June 15, the day after the MBA/MCA exam.
  2. Objection window opens: candidates can challenge specific answers within a short fixed window.
  3. Expert review: KEA's subject experts review valid objections.
  4. Final answer key published: incorporates any accepted corrections and is used to calculate the official result.

Only challenge an answer if you're confident it's genuinely wrong. Whether an objection fee applies is set fresh by KEA each year — check that year's notice on the official portal.

Estimating your score

Once the provisional key is out, you can estimate your raw score by matching your response sheet against it. Keep in mind your estimate can shift slightly once the final key is published.
