KEA Choice Selection Matrix (Post-Allotment)
After seat declaration in Round 1, every candidate MUST exercise one of the following 4 options on the KEA portal. Failing to exercise a choice cancels the seat.
You are 100% satisfied with this seat. Pay the fee online, download Admission Order, and report to college. You cannot participate in further rounds.
Hold your currently allotted seat as safety, and enter Round 2 to compete for HIGHER preferences only. If upgraded in Round 2, your old seat is automatically released.
Surrender your current allotment completely. Compete in Round 2 with no seat in hand. If no higher option gets allotted in Round 2, you are left without a seat.
Reject allotted seat and exit KCET counseling altogether (e.g., if you secured an IIT, NIT, or BITS seat).
