The DCET result is published as a rank card, calculated against the revised/final answer key. Your rank determines which colleges and branches you can realistically target in lateral-entry counselling.
How the rank is calculated
Your DCET rank is not based on your DCET exam score alone — like KCET, it's a 50:50 composite: 50% from your DCET score (out of 100) and 50% from your diploma's 5th and 6th semester aggregate marks. Two candidates with identical DCET scores but a meaningful gap in diploma marks can land on noticeably different ranks. If two candidates end up with the same composite score, DCET's tiebreaker differs from KCET's: the older candidate gets the higher rank (KCET instead uses the higher exam score as its tiebreaker). Category is applied separately on top of this composite rank, for reservation purposes.

The DCET 2026 results were released on June 14, 2026, following the May 23 exam and June 2 revised answer key. Both Round 1 and Round 2 lateral-entry seat allotments for this cycle have concluded. 2027 candidates can track upcoming notification updates on our DCET dates page.
Site down or "HTTP 503" on result day?
KEA's servers run the same infrastructure across KCET, PGCET and DCET, and have a documented history of buckling under result-day traffic — every official link returning HTTP 503: Service Unavailable for hours is a capacity problem, not a sign your specific result is missing. Wait and retry during off-peak hours rather than repeatedly refreshing; if you're getting a different error (like a login failure), double-check your application number and password first, since that's a separate and more common cause than server load.
